Hamilton Gastropub: Where food and drink meet in Dar

Hamilton Gastropub, the latest addition to Dar es Salaam’s entertainment circuit, pre-opened last month and promised a unique food and drink experience.

Overlooking the harbour, on the eighth floor of the five-star Johari Rotana Hotel, the gastropub offers scenic city and harbor views in downtown Dar.

He says that gastropubs, which served an extensive range of dishes, began to take off around 1991, with most of them targeting more upper-class customers. Food preparation techniques have also evolved and started paying more attention to decorating details and quality standards.
