Kenya’s former President Mwai Kibaki is scheduled to be buried today in Othaya, Nyeri district in central Kenya.
Early this morning the funeral procession left Nairobi for Nyeri.
Kibaki , who died on 21 April died at the age of 90, had a state funeral on Friday in Nairobi, with the Catholic Archbishop of Nyeri, Anthony Muheria, presiding over the requiem mass.
Kibaki was the third head of state in Kenya’s history to hold office from December 2002 to April 2013.
