German Africa Foundation gives its annual highest award to Ethiopia Rights Commissioner

– The German Africa Foundation (DAS) announced today that the jury Dr. Daniel Bekele unanimously bestowed the highest award DAS in Germany for “his lifelong commitment to human rights in Ethiopia”.

The foundation’s declaration also recognized the key role that Daniel Bekele played in it, ” to significantly reshape the Ethiopian Commission on Human Rights and to work successfully for greater independence and the expansion of its powers ”. The foundation further stated that the award will be presented in a festive ceremony in November 2021.
