The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has named several nightclubs it alleges that the slain Mirema man was a target for criminal activity.
The DCI said in a lengthy thread on Twitter, Samuel Mugo Muvota, the man who was shot dead in broad daylight in Mirema, Kasarani, was recruiting women to spike revelers’ drinks in clubs on Monday afternoon.
At the time of his death, he had more than 50 wives from various entertainment venues on Kiambu Road, Ruaka-Kamiti Road and Roysambu and Zimmerman to drug enthusiasts.
Clubs include Club Switch in Kasarani, Whiskey River on Kiambu Road, Red Lion in Ruaka, Oklahoma Choma Zone, Lacascada, Aroma, Backroom, Mkwanju and Dragon.
According to investigators, the ladies offered an energy drink to a man who was very careful with his drink, claiming he was too drunk and unable the task ahead.
“If that trick didn’t work, they would escort a man (if he was single e) to his house and prepare coffee or scrambled eggs for the man to eat,” DCI said.

After a successful harvest against clubs in a specific city Muvota moved them to another city for cover.
The DCI said Muvota has been arrested 30 times in the past 11 years for drugging and stealing from his victims in clubs with the help of beautiful women. Detectives also labeled him as a rogue millionaire whose wealth was amassed by exchanging ATMs and SIM cards stolen from his victims.
DCI said Muvota made over Sh1 million in one day.
Detectives claim Muvota was killed in a deal gone wrong after one of his associates sold him.
