The Supreme Court has dismissed the petition seeking to bar Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja from the gubernatorial race over the validity of his academic work.
Judge Anthony Mrima says the IEBC made no mistake in acquitting him and the petitioner by failing to meet the burden of proving that Sakaja’s team university certificate is forged.
Additionally, the judge says that IEBC has no authority or mandate to verify the authenticity of documents submitted by candidates.
