Kenya’s Covid cases exceed 243,000, death toll at 4,902

The total number of confirmed infections in the country since the first one in March 2020 was 243,456, while the positivity rate was 7.9%.

Of the new cases, 503 were Kenyans and eight were foreigners, 256 men and 255 female, the youngest 10 months old and the oldest 96 years old.

By Saturday, Kenya had 2,450,791 performed for the disease.

In addition, CS Kagwe reported that a total of 3,081,610 vaccine doses were administered nationwide – 2,255,214 first doses and 826,396 second doses.

The absorption rate of the second 36, 6 percent, with the majority of recipients being male (458,544 / 56 percent), while the proportion of fully vaccinated adults was 3.03 percent.
