Dr. Kibicho stated that the exiled lawyer should obtain his travel documents from the Kenyan High Commission in Ottawa, Canada in order to re-enter the country.
“I confirm that no government has Air France and the Lufthansa Group (operates as German Airlines) issued a so-called red alert in connection with the trip from Miguna to Kenya, ”said Dr. Kibicho before the High Court in Milimani, Nairobi yesterday.
Dr. Miguna, who was deported in March 2018 after swearing in ODM party leader Raila Odinga as “the president of the people”, tried twice to return to Kenya without success.
In his last attempt on 16. November 2021 He was prevented from boarding Air France at Berlin Brandenburg Airport after a new warning was issued by the Kenyan government.
His lawyers, led by Dr. John Khaminwa and the President of the Law Society of Kenya, Nelson Havi, went to court and requested that the warnings be lifted. Have Miguna on board their “next available flight to Paris, France, en route to Nairobi, Kenya, ignoring any alert or restrictions imposed by the Kenyan government”.
Dr. Kibicho said the government has no intention of removing Dr. To allow Miguna to return using the national identity card.
The PS argues that Dr. Miguna traveled as a Canadian citizen with a Canadian passport and therefore required a visa to be able to board a flight to Kenya.
Justice Hedwig Ong’undi will rule on the matter on November 22, 2021.
