2023: Ohanaeze Begins Plot to Meet With Top Monarchs to Support Igbo Presidency –

  • It looks like the bid for an Igbo candidate to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari may be underway
  • Nigeria’s two Leading political parties, the APC and PDP, have been rumored to have dashed such hopes, as speculation of a Northern candidacy is on the cards
  • Meanwhile the Ohanaeze group on its way to embarking on a regional tour to campaign for the presidency to be based in the Southeast

To ensure that With the presidency being settled in the Southeast, the renowned socio-cultural organization Ohanaeze Ndigbo has begun a conspiracy to seek the favor of leading traditional rulers across the country to support the motion.

Udodeme expressed concern on the latest speculation and reports that the APC and PDP are about to field candidates from the north.

Ohanaeze praises APGA presidential hopefuls

Meanwhile Udodeme commended presidential candidate Umeadi for his courage and daring in volunteering for the nation’s service.

He also commended Umeadi for his good work during his tenure as Chief Justice of Anambra State.

Presidential hopeful Umeadi spoke to him Ohanaeze members assured the group that as President Muhammadu Buhari’s successor, his goal is to take the country to untold growth and development g.

He also promised to ensure reconciliation between all regions of the country in relation to the incessant instances of murders, kidnappings and other social vices.

He said:

“My history and zeal lead me to stand up with the triple banner of the rule of law, separation of powers and due process that ensure safety of life and property , economic revitalization and prosperity, which in itself represents a fulfilling and happy life. These issues should be at the heart of our rejuvenation as a nation.

“We know that insecurity, among other consequences, has driven our people off the farms, creating artificial shortages of food and employment. We live with the dilemma of funding camps for internally displaced persons (IDP) and even making long-term plans if the country is neither at war nor hit by a major natural disaster.”

2023: Ohanaeze Ndigbo demands other regions to support Igbo extraction president

In a similar report, Ohanaeze Ndigbo reiterated that the next president of Nigeria should come from the south-eastern region.

The pan-Igbo socio-cultural group appealed to other regions to support the zone on Monday, February 14.

Group President Prof. George Obiozor said they have been campaigning for their leadership rights since 1960.
