Nigerians have severely disparaged Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor Godwin Emefiele after reports that he has joined the 2023 presidential campaign and is still in office.
It was previously reported that the CBN governor bought the N100 million presidential forms from the All Progressive Congress (APC). .
In response to the news, Emefiele announced that he is noc h had not decided to run for the seat of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Nigerians are not taking the CBN governor lightly, as they revealed on Twitter on Sunday, May 8th hitting him.

PDP Demands Arrest of Emefiele
People’s Democratic Party has called for the dismissal, arrest and prosecution of the CBN governor challenged for financial impropriety and abuse of office.
The opposition said Emefiele’s involvement in politics without stepping down as Apex Bank governor constituted gross misconduct violating Section 11 2(2)(c) of the CBN Act.
The party said the CBN governor could no longer run the top bank because he had joined politics, and added that Emefiele is a threat to the reputation of the nation’s financial sector.
