Lucky Irabor, chief of defense, says the official declaration of bandits as terrorists will allow the armed forces to take the necessary measures against them.
The defense chief said the Gazette, which bans bandits as terrorists, has long been wanted by the armed forces.
Irabor spoke on Monday when he was in ‘Good Morning Nigeria ‘, a Nigerian program of the Television Authority (NTA).
The federal government published an official gazette on January 5th, in which bandits were outlawed as terrorists – about one Month after a federal court in Abuja declared the activities of all bandit groups in the country called acts of terrorism.
The defense chief said the military would change tactics in light of the latest developments, adding, that the criminals “the bloody Nose they want so much. ”
” The subject of labeling the bandits as terrorists is news that is finished and delighted. That has always been our wish, “he said.
” That means that our tactics, techniques and procedures that we use in dealing with them would certainly have to change and therefore I think you will read in the future what the result of these engagements is for sure.
“Calling you a terrorist gives you a global attitude that becomes important for others enable global actors to take certain measures against them now. For me it will only get better and we will give you the bloody nose you want. ”
