NAPTIP spokeswoman Stella Nezan said in a statement that Mohammed had promised to build on the existing operational platform to ensure the agency’s national and international visibility.
The statement said he quotes. that he “will work to effectively curb human trafficking and irregular migration not only in Nigeria but also in sub-Saharan Africa.”
Mohammed also pledged to work hard to ensure the agency’s mandates are met , and urged all employees to maintain discipline and to avoid any act that is hostile to the operations of the agency.
He thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for giving him the opportunity to serve as To serve Director General of NAPTIP.
He said, “I will work effectively with the management of the agency to achieve better results.
” I am a passionate and hardworking person who Is committed to the realization of goals and objectives of every institution in which I am.
“I am happy to be in your midst and am ready to work together smoothly with all employees. I need to let you know that I like honesty and a prudent use of available resources.
“My goal is to work hard to get NAPTIP in the desired position, both inside and outside the country.
“NAPTIP is a very important institution that is close to our hearts and we all have to work hard to ensure its overall success,” said Mohammed.
Nigeria’s News Agency (NAN ) recalls that Mohammed was the sixth DG of NAPTIP since its creation in 2004.
The resumption of the new DG of NAPTIP followed an exchange order between two heads of agencies of the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development by President Muhammadu Buhari.
