BREAKING: Deadly armed robbers, kidnappers escape after Boko Haram attack Kuje prison –

The federal government has confirmed that about 600 inmates have escaped from the Kuje Correctional Facility after the attack by suspected terrorists on Tuesday evening.

A Nigerian Correctional Service spokesman, AD Umar, confirmed that gunmen had attacked the correctional center but that normality was restored after security officials intervened.

“I would like to confirm that around 22:00 some armed men yet to be identified attacked the prison at Medium Security Custodial Center, Kuje in the Federal Capital Territory,” said Umar.
