President Muhammadu Buhari will chair the National Security Council meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The meeting is expected to discuss issues around Strategies on escalating recent successes in the fight against terrorism and general insecurity.
The meeting will be attended by Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo; Secretary of the Government of the Federation; boss Mustapha; Presidential Chief of Staff Professor Ibrahim Gambari and National Security Advisor (NSA) Maj. Gen. Babagana Monguno (retd).
Chief of Defense Staff Gen. Lucky Irabor , Army Chief of Staff, Lt. Gen. Farouk Yahaya; Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Awwal Gambo; and Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Isiaka Oldayo Amao are also present.
Also present are Inspector General of Police Alkali Baba Usman; the director general of the Department of State Service (DSS), Yusuf Bichi; and National Intelligence Agency (NIA) Director General Ahmed Rufai Abubakar.
