Aso Rock, Abuja – President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Dr. Ezra Yakusak as Executive Director / Chief Executive Officer of Nigeria Approves Export Promotion Council (NEPC).
Garba Shehu, Senior Special Assistant to the President for Media and Public Relations, announced this in a Declaration announced on Tuesday, October 12th.
The declaration posted on Facebook states that the appointment is made in accordance with the provisions of Section 7 (1) of the NEPC (Es tablishment) Act , 1987.
Until his appointment, Dr. Yakusak, who has a PhD in Business Law from Ahmadu Bello University, Director of Policy and Strategy at NEPC.
He was also Secretary of the Administrative Council of the Council.
President Buhari warns ministers about the achievement
The president urged officials to take seriously issues related to the implementation of their mandates and responsibilities. He added that it is important for officials to know that if they take their professional responsibilities seriously, it will help the current government fulfill their vision and promises to Nigerians.

The President also quickly appointed Fatima Waziri-Azi as the agency’s new Director General.
The appointment followed a recommendation from the Minister for humanitarian affairs, Sadiya Umar Farouq. The Minister stated that Waziri-Azi’s recommendation was based on her vast experience and ability to advance NAPTIP in order to achieve its main outcome.
