About 11 families whose loved ones were passengers on the Abuja-Kaduna train that was attacked by terrorists in March rejoice they were released from captivity by their captors.
The good news was released by Sheikh Ahmad Gumi’s media adviser, Malam Tukur Mamu, reports Vanguard.
The newspaper claimed that the feat was achieved after serious efforts by the federal government Arrive.
Mamu also stated that after their release, President Ident Muhammadu Buhari has ordered them to be flown to Abuja for immediate medical treatment, after which they will be reunited with their families
The minister’s media advisor added that some generals in the Nigerian army were very instrumental in the release of the prisoners.
Mamu, who happens to be the editor of Desert Herald, was quoted by the Daily Trust as saying:

The Woman who appeared in black Muslim clothing and put on a face mask stated that the terrorists released her because of her condition.
In an interview with journalists, she revealed that only negotiation would ensure the safe release of other victims from the kidnapper’s lair.
