The Sultan of Sokoto and President of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), Alhaji Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar III, has declared Thursday, June 30, Dhul Hijjah 1, 1443AH .
This means that Saturday, July 9th is Eidul Adha or Sallah day, which comes after Friday, July 8th, which is Arafat Day, is coming.
A statement from the National Moon Sighting Committee (NMSC) states that Sultan Abubakar has declared Thursday, June 30th, the first day of Dhul Hijjah, reported Daily Trust.
“Eidul Adha will be in Sha Allah on Saturday 10th Dhul Hijjah 1443H (9 July 2022).
“His Eminence the Sultan hereby calls upon the Muslim ummah to intensify their efforts in deeds of worship during the first 10 days of the blessed month of Dhul Hijjah.
“And also pray for peace, stability and Fo The country’s progress,” reads the statement.
