The recent promotion of former Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Chairman Ibrahim Magu to the rank of Deputy Inspector General of Police (AIG) , came after his retirement.

The Police Service Commission (PSC) on Monday 16 May approved the promotion of the former EFCC chief shortly before his departure from the Police after he reached his 60th birthday on May 5, 2022.
