An Ilorin Magistrate ‘Court on Monday ordered five friends to be taken into police custody for allegedly killing a commercial sex worker in the Patigi parish of Kwara.
Police accused Samuel Tsado, Mohammed Gbara , Mohammed Abubakar, Mohammed Ahmadu and Bala Katun with criminal conspiracy, buying, selling or trading in human parts, possession of human parts and culpable killing.
Magistrate Wahab Saka, who issued the decision, postponed the matter until September. 30 for further mention.
Earlier, prosecutor ASP Isaac Yakub told the court that Tsado went to the Victory Hotel on June 29 and asked for the services of the victim, Abigail Polumuga. her whereabouts are unknown.
He said that Tsado later confessed that it was his friends who arranged the pickup, beheaded her, and used her for money rituals.
Prosecutors said that Tsado’s confession led to the arrest of four suspects, while two more are now in l. are bad.
He asked the court to keep the defendants in custody pending the conclusion of the investigation.
