COVID-19 vaccine: Bauchi inaugurates 19-member mobilisation committee

Dr. Rilwanu Mohammed, executive chairman of the agency, said this at the inauguration of the committee on Saturday in Bauchi.

Mohammed said the committee was set up in accordance with the guidelines of the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency (NPHCDA), to mobilize participation in the Phase II COVID-19 vaccination exercise.

He said such awareness-raising activities are necessary to encourage behavioral change and promote the uptake of the vaccines in society.


“The myths about the vaccines need to be cleared up so people can take their vaccine.

” We will be setting up similar teams at the local government level to raise awareness about the vaccine.

“We thank the media for their contributions and the free airtime given to the agency to discuss issues surrounding the disease,” he said.
