Lokoja – Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello spoke with Muslim believers around the world and particularly in Kogi State on the occasion of Eid el Kabir 2022 congratulations pronounced celebration while using the medium to call for collective sacrifices for the nation’s interests.
The Kogi State Governor added that leaders at the forefront of the Affairs and citizens would have to start putting individual interests aside to ensure n that our country reaches the peak of development where it belongs.
Governor Bello stated this in a special Eid el Kabir commemorative message delivered on Friday 8 July , signed by his Chief Press Officer Muhammed Onogwu.
The Governor noted that this festive season was another time to seek God’s face in the affairs of our dear nation which is not only facing difficult times in areas of uncertainty, but is also severely affected by global, regional and national economic realities.
He added that Muslims, apart from living a life of sacrifice and submission, just like the Prophet Ibrahim, they should also extend their arm of benevolence and kindness to their neighbors, regardless of their tribe or religion.< /p>
Governor Bello emphasized that while it has become common knowledge that citizens of Kogi State are being urged to fill in the gaps of differences, seasons like this allow individuals to put into practice many of these attributes.< /p>
While ensuring their safety during and after the celebrations, he urged citizens to be vigilant while celebrating as they may take personal responsibility for suspicious activity or individuals to report to the security authorities, adding that they must be responsible for their own celebration of the joyful season.

For his part, All Progressives Congress presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu called on Nigerian Muslims to demonstrate the true spirit of Islam.
He called on the muslimi It encourages believers to always strive to live their daily lives in accordance with the clear and beneficial message of this occasion.
Eid-el-Kabir: Church distributes food and cash to Muslims in Kaduna
Meanwhile, in the spirit of good relations and the celebration of Eid-el-Kabir, a church in Kaduna has been distributing food and money to poor Muslims in the state.
Yohanna Buru, general overseer of the church, Christ Evangelical and Life Intervention Fellowship Ministry , said it was good to help poor Muslims enjoy the season.
Pastor Buru said most beneficiaries are street beggars, widows, orphans and some internally displaced persons.
