Asaba, Delta – Ejiro Otarigho , the selfless and brave petrol tanker driver who be Burning diesel-laden vehicle drove away from a residential area around Agbarho, Ughelli North Municipality, Delta State was recognized by the State Government
Patrick Ukah, Secretary of the State Government, the Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, said Thursday June 16 Otarigho’s bravery saved the entire state from the wa s would have become mourning According to AIT News, this fateful day marked most families.
Ukah said this at a ceremony attended by Otarigho, his pregnant wife and some family members invited by the state government.
Ukah presented the young tanker driver on behalf of Governor Okowa with a check for N2 million, a letter of recommendation and a plaque which the governor says will be used as a memorial to Ejiros Serving children and generations.
The state government spoke about the honor bestowed on Otarigho on its Facebook page on Thursday.

“Today the Delta State Government presented Mr. Ejiro Otarigho, a tanker operator, for his heroic actions in moving a burning tanker to a safe location in Agbarho, Ughelli North LGA, drove.
“The Secretary of State, Chief Pat rick Ukah, who made the presentation on behalf of the state government, commended Mr. Otarigho for his bravery and heroism in averting a major disaster that could have resulted in the deaths of many in the region.”
Also at the event, members of the National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas (NUPENG) identified with Ejiro and paid tribute to his unparalleled bravery.

Ejiro Otarigho, the brave Nigerian man who took a burning tanker from a populated area to a safe zone drove, said he did what he did to save lives.
In an exclusive interview with Legit.ng, Ejiro said he was ready to take on the dangerous task of help of God.
How it happened
Ejiro said he had finished unloading the petroleum product at a gas station and was driving back when the vehicle burst into flames in Agbarho, Delta State.
