Fani-Kayode Says Kogi Prison Break Is an Attempt to Undermine, Discredit Yahaya Bello

FCT, Abuja – Former Aviation Minister Femi Fani-Kayode has stated that the attack held in a prison in Kogi state on Sunday September 13th aimed to undermine and discredit Governor Yahaya Bello.

However, the former minister did not provide evidence of his Allegations.

He wrote:

“The prison break and the murder of security guards in Kogi were fabricated. It’s a similar diagram to EFCC’s. Those behind it need to know that nothing can stop him when God is with someone. Trying to undermine and discredit Yahaya cannot work. Those behind it will hear from us soon. ”

Fani-Kayode and Governor Bello have been photographed together several times in the past few months.

The former minister, who was born in Osun, always referred to the head of government from Kogi as “my friend and brother” when he shared photos of himself and Governor Bello on his social media pages.

It was found that many inmates were released by the attackers who killed some security guards with a gun in combat.

However, some of the prisoners were arrested again after security agencies combed the area after the attack.

Federal government reacts to prison attack in Kogi

Meanwhile, Nigerians have been assured that the unidentified armed men who are in jail Direction attacked in the northern state will be brought to justice.

Sola Fasure, the media advisor to Interior Minister Rauf Aregbesola, announced this in a statement on Monday 13 September.

According to Fasure, a soldier and a police officer were unfortunately killed in the attack, while two guards were not brought to justice.
