FG Acquires First Landing Ship Tank for Nigerian Navy After 42 Years

FCT, Abuja – A group of the All Progressives Congress (APC) under the aegis of the APC Legacy Awareness Campaign (APC-LAC) announced that Nigeria recently acquired its first new Landing Ship Tank (LST) since 1979 under the government led by President Muhammadu Buhari.

The APC group also said, that the Nigeria Air Force (NAF.)) received about 23 new aircraft as part of the commitments d he current government to end the uncertainty in the country.

“The Nigerian Air Force has received 23 new aircraft since 2015, with at least a dozen more expected, and the Navy recently acquired its first new Landing Ship Tank (LST) since 1979. The administration also has one Nigerian Police Trust Fund launched. ”

Promoting community-led solutions to tackle insecurity

Declaration continued:

“President Buhari is a strong advocate of restoring ancient communal security mechanisms by states, bringing together traditional and communal leaders and the police, to provide credible information and resolve conflicts and tensions as they arise.
