Finally, Igbos Decide Who To Vote for Among Tinubu, Atiku, Obi –

  • The Southeast have issued their statement regarding their election as President in Election Year 2023
  • The statement was also released by the Igbo Elders Consultative Forum as Ime -obi Ohanaeze Ndigbo

    The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have been criticized for failing to distribute the presidency to the Southeast.< /p>

    This is the position of the Igbo Elders Consultative Forum, also known as Ime-obi Ohanaeze Ndigbo.

    Punch Newspaper reports, that the elders also criticized Igbo delegates who voted against candidates from the Southeast in the 2023 presidential primary.

    The group consequently labeled them “serial traitors and shameless saboteurs”.

    The IECF said in a statement from its secretary, Prof. Charles Nwekeaku, in Abuja on Friday:

    “This will not happen again as the Igbo elders will provide new leadership that will strengthen Ohaneze leadership in Igbo country. These traitors will shamefully and forthrightly retire from politics as they will never again represent the Southeast in any public service.

    “We have read with great concern the unprecedented monetization of the political party primaries, particularly the Presidential elections, observes election that saw the highest bidders emerge as presidential candidates.

    “More worrying was the failure of the major political parties, namely the ruling APC and PDP, to hold the presidency in accordance with the principle of federal character and zoning , as contained in Section 14 (3) of the 1999 Federal Republic of Nigeria Constitution and the constitutions of the various political parties, for the sake of justice, equity, fairness, peace and stability of the country.

    “Worse, the outrageous arrogance and bravery that characterized the PDP leadership rised that changed the goalpost mid-game portrays A bleak future for good governance, transparency and accountability for Nigeria as the principles of equity, equity and fairness seem to no longer matter as it is the turn of the South East.

    “Equally shocking and sad was the outrageous betrayal and unbridled collusion of some unpatriotic Igbo sons and daughters who shamelessly and unrepentantly joined those who did not mean well with our people to win presidential hopefuls from the Southeast to withhold their support and votes.

    “They functioned and voted for Dollars and Lucre at the expense of their Southeast competitors in blatant arrogance and disregard for the demands of the Southern Governors Forum, Southern and Middle Belt Forum, Afenifere, Pan Niger Delta Forum, Igbo Elders Consultative Forum, Ohaneze Global, among others en credible and vocal stakeholders who called for the presidency to be micro-zoned south and further southeast.

    “Ex Besides Ebonyi state, other delegates from Anambra, Abia, Enugu and Imo states and their sponsors ndi igbo explain who they sold their votes to and at what price at the expense of our common interest in producing the President of Nigeria in 2023. ”

    Meanwhile, Ike Ekweremadu, former Deputy Senate President, has had a terribly bad time over the past few days.

    The most recent allegation against him was against his wife Beatrice and they were both arrested and tried for bringing a child to the UK for organ harvesting.

    Metropolitan Police said the couple were brought to justice following an investigation by the police’s Specialized Crime Team.

    Police added that the investigation was ongoing was brought to the attention of detectives in May 2022 of possible offenses under modern slavery legislation.
