Former Ekiti state governor Segun Oni has his Expressed deep concern about the problems the nation has been facing lately.

“What ruined the First Republic was the attitude of politicians who refused to leave. “Where I belong is good governance. Let me say that we do all this baiting because of failure of governance they would not have let us down if they had aroused hope, excitement and expectations.
“It’s because people are discouraged and really run down. Democracy did not meet their expectations. If people were to rule this way again for a few years, they would become even more frustrated.
“I have to say without reproach that I’ve been with it for over 60 years and I’ve seen governments: the military and civilians. This is the worst achievement of all. I can say it emphatically. I plead guilty as part of the birth of the Buhari government, but we had expectations and we have always said it.
