Milan – Former President Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has arrived in Milan, Italy, to attend this year’s High Level Advisory Council meeting of the European Corporate Council on Africa and the Middle East (ECAM Council) taking place in the ancient city of Como.
Dr. Jonathan will join former British Prime Minister Tony Blair and former European Commission President José Manuel Barroso, who are also board members of the ECAM Council at the meeting.
In a letter on his Facebook page on Sunday 29 May, the former President stated:
”Tonight I arrived in Milan, Italy to attend this year’s High Level Advisory Council meeting of the European Corporate Council on Africa and the Middle East (ECAM Council), to be held in the ancient city of Como.
“I am delighted to be part of the ECAM Council’s creative commitment to promoting more productive investment in health, education and other social services in Africa and the Middle East.”
The ECAM is a non-profit organization established with the aim of strengthening relations between the countries of Europe, Africa and the MENA region(Middle East and North Africa) with Italy, ti ng plays a leading role.
It was founded with the aim of developing realistic, effective and lasting solutions for more sustainable healthcare systems.
Group Congratulates Ex-President Jonathan On New Appointment
Recall that a socio-cultural organization, The Unity Group (TUG), Dr. Jonathan recently congratulated on his recent appointment as a member of the ECAM Council International Advisory Board.
TUG said in a statement Tuesday, May 17, the appointment was further evidence for Jonathan’s ever-growing profile as an international statesman and a rare figure with focus.
The group also commended President Muhammadu Buhari for what they described as presidential and diplomatic protocols that Jonathan to enable him to function to the maximum in his international duties.
