Group urges Igboho, Kanu to contest for president in 2023

A group, Africa’s New Dawn, has called on Yoruba Nation agitator Sunday Adeyemo and Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB), to give up their baiting and to become the nation’s top post in 2023 National Coordinator Iluckukwu Chima announced Thursday in Abuja the group’s plan to hold a rally entitled “One Love, One Nation, One President” and said Nigerians would win more if they were united.

While Kanu was arrested by the Nigerian government, Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho, was arrested at Cardinal Bernardin International Airport in Cotonou, Republic of Benin, with his wife on their way to Germany arrested on Monday evening

Chima argued that Nigeria is a platform in which Africa is identified as a continent and counted on the global stage, adding that the continent if the country is removed from Africa would have identity problems worldwide.

“Nigeria is the globally recognized platform. If we were to destroy Nigeria because of the challenges, which platform would we place ourselves on? Division is not a solution. The solution is love.

“But then it is obvious that some people are trying to form a parallel government. Igboho and Kanu want to declare a country within another country. That can’t happen because Nigeria is bigger than any single person. If you want to form a government, you should wait patiently, build your political platform and run in 2023. Then the voters would choose what they want. The constitution says that elections should be held every four years and that only one president should stand for election. ”

According to him, anyone who has complained about the system should seek redress in court is dysfunctional Taking control of the law does not stop injustice. ”
