Hope Uzodimma Inaugurates Implementation Committee of White Paper on Lands, Others

< p class = "align-left"> Owerri – Imo State Governor Senator Hope Uzodimma set up the White Paper Implementation Committee on Land and Related Matters.

According to Governor Uzodimma, the committee would work to recover assets recommended by the state judicial commission of inquiry.

The judicial commission had indicted the administration of Owelle Rochas Okorocha Real estate owned by the federal government State Imo.

“Your main task is to get back for the Imo people all the assets specified in the white paper set out in the recommendations of the commission.”

He said the inauguration reinforced his government’s mantra of reconstruction, rehabilitation and recovery.

He added:

” The White Paper on land and related matters is clear – it is now an established legal fact that land and property owned by both government and people have been illegally acquired or appropriated.

“This is because all such illegal acquisitions id confirmed by the judicial commission of inquiry. The government accepted these recommendations and issued a white paper. ”

The members of the implementation committee are Professor Ukachukwu Awuzie, who is the chairman.

He is also a former Vice Chancellor of Imo State University, a fellow of Nigerian Institute of Architectures and former Senatorial Candidate for Imo West Senate District.

Other committee members include Barrister Martin Iwuegbu, Chief HN Ndi Duroha, Chief John Onyenze, Engr. Lady Mrs. Uchenna Onyeiwu Uba and Chief Godwin Nwadike.
