Huge Tragedy as Gunmen Invade Residence of Popular Northern Pastor, Kill Sons, Abduct Teenage Daughter – Legit.ng

Mubi LGA, Adamawa State – Armed men have entered the residence of Reverend Daniel Umaru of the EYN invaded Church Njairi, Mubi County in Adamawa State, killing his sons and kidnapping his 13-year-old daughter.

Daily Trust reported that Umaru was at was shot in the incident and is currently recovering in hospital while his wife, who witnessed the attack, Reportedly in an unconscious condition.

It was noted that Humwashi Wonosikou, press secretary and Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa, confirmed the incident and said the gunmen said Wednesday , July 6, around 2 a.m. stormed the reverend’s house.

It’s barbaric, says Governor Fintiri

Governor Fintiri described the attack as described as shocking and barbaric and ordered security forces to pursue the attackers.

“The state government strongly condemns the heinous attack on this innocent family; the perpetrators of this heinous act must be brought to justice and we have offered our full support to the security authorities,” Fintiri said.

He added that the state would become the government continue to confront crime in all its forms, including “the kidnapper threat”. including the church.

APC’s running mate gubernatorial candidate escapes assassination as armed police guard him

In another report, Innocent Barikor, running mate gubernatorial candidate the Rivers State All Progressives Congress (APC) escaped a suspected assassination attempt in Port Harcourt, the state capital.

The gunmen who were after Barikor killed however, his police officers on the spot. The candidate for Deputy Governor of the APC reportedly left his office at the GRA on Tuesday evening, July 5, to attend a meeting at an undisclosed location, unaware that some armed men were waiting for him outside.

“Barikor narrowly escaped, but his police officer was unlucky as the bullets hit him instantly and killed him,” said a source.
