A fiancée of one of the soldiers killed by some Terrorists at a mining site in Shiroro governorate, Niger state, have mourned the death of her lover.
In a post on her Facebook page, Aisha Yusuf paid tribute to her fiancé lamenting that Nigeria was hearing about his death not deserved.
In the emotional post entitled ‘My heart is painful‘ admitted the young lady that the pain she felt at the offense of th The soldier who had paid the highest price is unbearable.
She also confirmed that she was not sure if she would be able to recover from the shock of his death and the sad incident in which bandits reportedly killed around 22 soldiers, a number of police officers to be confirmed and workers at the mining site.
Four other people of Chinese nationality were said to have been kidnapped by bandits who attacked the site.
Yusuf’s post read:
“I lost the love of my life on Wednesday in Shiroro, Niger State. My boyfriend, my lover… my heartbeat, my fiancee… the man who changed my powerful view of interracial marriage. I still can’t believe my baby is gone.”
Asking about the circumstances and the impact of the incident on her life, Yusuf said she doesn’t know anymore, where to start.
“Where do I start? Where can I pick up?
“People have said to take it easy that God has a plan, but I can’t even understand why God would let that happen. He was busy. He was honest and hardworking.”
Praising a loving and caring man
The lady, who appeared to be in deep sorrow, further described her fiancee as good , loving and godly man who loves his family and his country.
“He was a good man, a godly man who loved his family and country that he gave his life for this cause.
“Nigeria doesn’t deserve you baby. Now I know how other women who have lost their husbands to terrorists feel. It is a pain that is unbearable…cannot be described Please family and I need your prayers…This is difficult for all of us but we believe God has a reason.
“In the midst of all these killings, Nigeria will stand up. My baby’s death will not be in vain… Rest well Obim.. I love you and I would always love you.”

Nigerians have been assured of speedy rescue for victims of terrorist attack on Shiroro mining area.
The assurance was given to citizens by the President, who said his government would make every effort to ensure their release.
The President also condemned the killing of soldiers and other security personnel on site by the terrorists sten.
