Orsu LGA, Imo state – An Improvised Explosive Device (IED ), reportedly planted by members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its armed wing Eastern Security Network (ESN), has exploded, seriously injuring two members of the banned group.
According to Vanguard, the incident happened on Wednesday, June 1, along Eke Ututu Street – Orsu in Orsu Municipality, Imo State.
A statement from Director Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu, head of public relations for the army, said:
“The dissidents kicked accidentally hit the explosive devices they had previously planted along several routes in Orlu, Orsu Local Government Area while trying to evade the troops’ attack on terrorists in the area.
“The outlaw group has repeatedly IEDs placed along troop patrol routes in a failed attempt to harm the troops.
“We urge all peace-loving people in the Southeast to inform troops of possible areas where these explosives have been buried, so that they can be properly evacuated and disposed of.”

In his address to the Governor, Pastor Adeboye revealed that Nigeria’s problem today is beyond human understanding and affirmed that God’s intervention is real and inevitable.
He said his team and members had fasted and prayed for days for the return of the land, but God directed him to visit the places and countries across Nigeria where darkness shrouded the troops light, hence the visit at Imo for a prayer session.
