Things have been terribly bad for Ike Ekweremadu, former Deputy Senate President, over the past few days.
The Metropolitan Police said the couple after an investigation by the specialized e police crime team was brought to justice.
Police added that the investigation was launched after the detective s were arrested in May 2022 for possible offenses under modern slavery legislation
The statement read:
“Beatrice Nwanneka Ekweremadu, 55 (9/10/66) from Nigeria is charged with the conspiracy to organize/facilitate the trip accused of another person with a view to exploitation, namely organ harvesting.”
“Ike Ekweremadu, 60 (05/12/62) of Nigeria is accused of conspiring to organize /facilitate the travel of another person with a view to exploitation , namely organ harvesting.
“They have both been remanded in custody and will appear in Uxbridge Magistrates Court later in the day.”
“One child has been protected and we are working closely with partners on this the further support ung together. As a criminal case is now pending we will not be releasing any further details.”
Recall that a few days ago thousands of Nigerians criticized him on social media when he stated that the Southeast region will not vote for Labor Party (LP) presidential candidate Peter Obi in 2023, even though he is her son.
According to him, the Southeast cannot vote the risk of voting for the Labor Party in the 2023 presidential election.
He said the region was more likely to vote for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar and he supports the PDP because its vice-presidential candidate, Ifeanyi Okowa, is from the region.

2023: Ekweremadu suffers backlash for saying Southeast will not vote for Peter Obi
Backlash began when a Video of the PDP leader surfacing on social media declaring the Southeast cannot afford to throw away its vote by voting for Obi in the upcoming presidential election.
