Kaduna Train Attack: Negotiator Reveals 1 Major Thing Governor Did About Captives From Yobe State –

Mallam Tukur Mamu, a publisher and negotiator who supported the release of the victims of the Der on 28 The hapless train attacked by terrorists in Kaduna on March 13 has revealed the crucial role played by the Yobe state governor in rescuing the prisoners.

Daily Trust reports that Mamu praised the Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala-Buni, for the role he played that led to the release of some prisoners, the passengers were on the train.

The terrorists also successfully kidnapped over 65 passengers, 11 of whom were released in June, including a businessman and the Managing Director of the Bank of Agriculture, Alwan Ali-Hassan, who was rumored to have secured his freedom by paying N100 million ransom to the group.

In total there are 43 of the over 60 passengers kidnapped by the hijackers are still in captivity.

Speaking of which, when securing the release of the victims of the attack, Mamu said that Governor Buni ensured that no native of Yobe State remains in the terrorists’ lair.

He said the governor had taken some steps behind the scenes to ensure the prisoners regained their freedom.

Delay in rescuing victims of train hijacking

Blaming the Nigerian government for the delay in rescuing the access reef kidnapped victims, Mamu added that he now has so much respect in front of the governor.
