President Muhammadu Buhari has joined family and friends to meet with Rev. William Folorunso Kumuyi, the founder and General Superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry celebrate celebrating his 81st birthday.

The Nigerian leader commended the minister for his dedication to soul winning, preaching the gospel and pastoral care.

According to him, many lives have been changed by the man of God who awakened the indelibly marked the nation’s stature.

This was contained in a statement issued by Presidential Advisor Femi Adesina on Sunday, June 5, shared on Facebook.

The statement read in part:

“The President refers to the contributions of Deeper Christian Life Ministry, which is a Bible study group run by Pastor Kumuyi, who was a lecturer at the time, began on the country’s spiritual and moral development, with credentials in education, health, roads, water supply and providing scholarships to the less privileged.

“President Buhari shares the joy of another age with the octogenarian, his wife Esther, other family members and friends while recognizing the inspiring influence of the Christian leader’s many books, particularly the devotionals.”

Buhari prayed for Pastor Kumuyi and asked God to strengthen him and his family in good health and wisdom.

Kumuyi , one of the most respected pastors in Nigeria, was born on June 6, 1941 into an Anglican family of Mr. Gabriel Kumuyi Akinfenwa and Comfort Idowu Kumuyi Akinfenwa.

Kumuyi remarked that God would bring in more people which would be profitable and beneficial for the welfare of Nigerians.

“We will continue to preach the gospel in the belief that God will show his love to all, both good, bad and ugly, and bring in more people who will be professionals chart for the country.”
