Some ministries, departments and authorities (MDAs) are supposed to work against the efforts of the federal government to take out loans for infrastructure expansion.
The allegation was made on Wednesday, October 13, by Senate President Ahmad Lawan during a plenary session of the National Assembly, reports the Premium Times.
Ahmad stated that These six MDAs have yet to appear before the Senate Loans and External Debt Committee to defend the government’s loan application the federal government to secure the loans and to finance the infrastructure expansion immensely required by the state.
“… These MDAs could not be displayed . The Senate regards this stance as sabotage of the efforts of the federal government to secure the loans and to finance the infrastructure expansion that this country urgently needs.
“Because the National Assembly has already approved the loan applications, but clarification is needed .
“We are only giving them a week to appear before the Committee on Loans and External Debt, and if they do not appear we will take reasonable and immediate action because this Senate is not going to sabotage.” for the efforts of this administration. “
