Ondo State Governor Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, on Wednesday urged Nigerians to vote for competency in the 2023 presidential election, adding that the vice president’s faith does not determine the performance affects any government.
Noted Governor Akeredolu, who expressed confidence that All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu will save the nation that work stop the President’s table.
“Muslim-Muslim ticket has nothing to do with performance. Let’s choose someone who can do something. Work stops at the President’s desk. It’s the president you elect. He decides what happens. Whether Muslim/Muslim or Christian/Christian shouldn’t matter to us in the South, because that’s what we fought for.
“I have no doubt that given the opportunity, After, what he has done in Lagos, Asiwaju Tinubu will change things for the better,” he said.
The governor spoke at the inauguration of two new commissioners serving in the cocoa Conference Hall of the Governor’s Office in Alagbaka, Akure, the state capital.
The new commissioners are Mr. Sowore Akinwumi Samson and Mr. Ologbese Adeboboye Joseph.
He instructed them to avoid distractions from their family members, friends and political allies.
Governor Akeredolu said he was thrilled to have personalities , equipped with the necessary skills to advance the cause of good governance.
He stressed that his gov ng will always be brave to demand commitment and loyalty, which must be absolute, adding that his government has embarked on a political journey towards righteousness.
” As we fulfill our promise of salvation, we will not tolerate any action that gives even the slightest hint of disloyalty or dishonesty. We have always placed people at the center of all activities. We will not stray from this path of honor.

“Some cowards have sent a message recognizing our role as an important catalyst in the renewed and determined search for a deepening of the current democratic experiment in the country .
“Our stance has garnered considerable support from our compatriots and women, who recognize the need for sensible and incessant intervention in our attempt to position current democratic practice within acceptable norms, appreciate the modern world.
“We recognize the enormous threat that our stance poses to the hegemonic agenda of some elements. Although we are of the magnitude de s horrific crime, let us remain unbowed and focused.” He said.
