Nigerian, Bala Abubakar, Nominated for an International Award in South Africa –

FCT, Abuja – Dr. Bala Abubakar, a humanitarian expert and educator, was nominated for an international award in South Africa by the African Board for Coaching, Consulting and Coaching Psychology.

Dr. Abubakar, who works with the United Nations, is an experienced and adaptable manager with over 15 years of experience in international development work.

He also has extensive expertise in strengthening ( governmental, private, non-governmental) financial systems in sub-Saharan Africa and is extremely competent in project implementation, programming technical assistance and grant management and capacity building.

He is considered to be very experienced in developing collaborative, cross-organizational structures with governance and implementation accountability mechanisms to effectively deliver projects across organizations and geographies, on time, on budget, and with high impact.

dr Abubakar holds a PhD in Business Administration from City University, Cambodia. He also has an M.Sc in Business Administration, B.Sc. Accounting and Diploma in Accounting/Audit.

Dr. Interventions conducted by Abubakar that earned him the 2nd Africa Coaching, Consulting Award (ACCA) from the Africa Board For Coaching, Consulting and Coaching Psychology include:

1. COVID-19 Community Support Project

2. Support the screening of patients with kidney disease

3. Class Bench-Yolde Pate Community School Donation

4. Donation from the Babacha School of Books

5. Ramadan Nutritional Program for Almajiri

6. Skill Acquisition Program for young people, among others.

Dr. Abubakar also has many international scholarly publications to his name.

LASU PhD student wins research grant from University of Birmingham

Recall that Emmanuel Ofuasia , a postgraduate student in philosophy at the Faculty of Philosophy, Lagos State University, Nigeria, recently £1,000 to conduct research on the philosophy of religion.

The scholarship is titled: “English Language Support Grants 2021” and is aimed primarily at non-English speaking philosophers of religion.

The grant was made possible by the John Templeton Foundation and the Global Philosophy of Religion Project at the University of Birmingham, UK.

3 NYSC Corp Members Receive N1.5M from AMCON’s Business Plan Contest

In a related development, three Corp -Members who will be rewarded with a cash sum of N1.5 million for participating in a business plan competition organized by the asset management company AMCON.

The program after AMCON aimed to build corporate members and empower them to grow their entrepreneurial skills and achieve their dreams.

The winners were selected from fifteen participants who participated in the first edition of the program.
