Ogun, Ota – Living Faith Church Worldwide Founder Bishop David Oyedepo has announced , Canaan land 23 years of uninterrupted power supply without government intervention, Vanguard reported.

Oyedepo said the milestone during a sermon at the headquarters of the church known as Faith Tabernacle in Ota, Ogun state was achievable because they invested a lot of resources.

He said:

“Since 1999, the lights have never gone out in Canaanland. We have had zero input from any government in Nigeria, whether local, state or federal. Not that we collect offerings for it every Sunday. We have invested resources and have good and very dedicated people to administer it.

“We teach the world that one can make a name for oneself by trusting in God.”

Canaanland was acquired in 1998 and was originally 560 acres (2.3 km2) located in Ota, Ogun, Nigeria. The Church’s international headquarters, Faith Tabernacle, was built in Cannanland between 1998 and 1999 and took twelve months to complete. The cornerstone was laid on August 29, 1998.

In 1999, the 50,400-seat Faith Tabernacle was dedicated. Faith Tabernacle was considered the largest church in the world by capacity.

It spans approximately 70 hectares and was built within the complex called Canaanland, which is more than 10,500 hectares (42 km2) in Ota, a suburb of Lagos. The church building was erected in less than 12 months and dedicated in September 1999.

In another development, a 40-year-old Oyewusi Oluyinka Abayomi served as pastor of Winners Chapel Church under the presidency of Bishop David Oyedepo until 2021.

In 2021 he resigned from the commission and switched to quitting Christianity to become a herbalist.

Oluyinka now has the real reason for his departure from Christianity and some sad things that happened to him happened at Winners Chapel, disclosed.

The devout traditionalist said , that the practice is actually for the advancement of human causes and well-being, and pray onte that it’s people who have limited them to a means of finding quick fame, fortune or desires.
