– The Redeemed Church general overseer also praised Governor El-Rufai of Kaduna state
– Meanwhile, El-Rufai, commiserated with the church over the kidnap of some of its members
Insecurity in Nigeria may soon become a past event in the country’s history if the words of Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, the general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), are to come true.
According to the Redeemed pastor, very soon, Nigeria will be victorious against insecurity.
He said this when he paid a courtesy call on Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna state at the Government House, Vanguard reports.
Adeboye who told the governor that the problem is beyond him disclosed he was praying for the state and Nigeria at large.
According to a report by Daily Trust, the cleric stated that he believes the prayers will be answered and God would fight for the governor and the country.
“When God begins to do what He alone can do, then the world will see it and they will glorify the name of God, and many people who may be criticizing you now, will probably see the other side of story.”
Meanwhile, El-Rufai seized the opportunity to commiserate with the church family over the recent abduction of some pastors and parishioners in the state.
Adeboye’s visit to the state’s Government House came on the heels of the release of abducted members of the RCCG.
The famous cleric revealed that he has known the governor for a long time, adding that the latter is a kindhearted individual.
In another report, El-Rufai, on Monday, April 12 made known his administration’s plan to disengage some public servants in the state for fiscal reasons.
The governor stated that the decision was painful but necessary to salvage the state’s finances.
