This was contained in a statement signed by the spokesman for the command, Mr Babawale Afolabi, and made available to journalists in Ilorin on Sunday.
Afolabi said that the two suspects in Patigi, Edu Township, Kwara Area arrested.
“At around 8:00 pm on September 18, NSCDC officers acted at Patigi Division headquarters based on information received and arrested Nawali Bala, a native of Okoloke, Kogi contaminated cow meat.
“The unhealthy meat was packed in an empty sack,” he said.
The spokesman said that Bala confessed during the interrogation that he was given the meat of a Dantani Jayewu was given to Okoloke, Kogi, now at large.
He said a Ministry of Environment and Public Health investigation confirmed the meat was unhealthy for human consumption.
