Osinachi: Fresh Revelation Emerges in Alleged Murder Case As Victim’s Mother Gives Shocking Testimony – Legit.ng

FCT, Abuja – The High Court of the FCT in Abuja has accepted the testimony of Caroline Madu, mother of the late gospel singer Osinachi Nwachukwu, Channels TV reported.

During the court hearing before Judge Njideka Nwosu-Iheme, Ms Caroline stated in her testimony that the late gospel singer husband (Peter Nwachukwu) threatened to kill her late daughter if she tried to take her in to visit her home.

She claimed that Peter manipulated the family into believing he was an evangelist when he is actually a serial thug.

< h2>How Madu attacked Osinachi victim’s mother, court tells

Madam Madu claimed in her testimony that Peter usually hit her when she was pregnant, and when she tried to visit her in Abuja, Peter refused.

She explained that the situation forced her to send her older daughter – Favor Madu – to Osinachi home bring to. According to her, the move was successful as Osinachi stayed for a year and three months before Peter sent some pastors to ask her family to take her back.

She shared that Osinachi had agreed , telling her family, “What God has joined together, no man should put asunder.” But when the late singer returned to her husband, she was again subjected to a series of beatings.

Osinachi was denied access to her money, says the victim’s mother

Ms. Madu stated in her statement that her daughter could not provide financial assistance to her extended family because she had no control over her own money that all of her income normally goes to her husband’s account.

According to the Vanguard newspaper, when the witness was asked why she never visited her daughter when she was going to bed put Igbo culture, the defender, I.A. Aliyu, contradicted the question and said, it is a leading question.

In her response, Imana indicated that Section 7 of the Evidence Act states that the law provides that she may ask area-aligned questions , which would bring to light facts leading to the indictment of the defendant.

< p class="align-left">Nwosu-Iheme prevented the prosecutor from asking direct questions.

Aliyu asked Madu during cross-examination if she was aware of this, apart from the ulcer. She told the court her daughter would if she knew she had other health problems.

She denied this and also said that she was aware that the matter was being investigated, but did not know the outcome of the investigation being conducted by the police.

When Imana tried to interrogate Madu again, Aliyu disagreed, saying there was no ambiguity len tried.

Osinachi: Gospel singer’s husband faces death penalty as FG pleads serious charges

Meanwhile, Peter Nwachukwu, husband of the late gospel singer Onsinachi Nwachukwu, stands by , about to be sentenced to death.

Nwachukwu has been charged with murder by the Federal High Court in Abuja.

The lawsuit was filed against Nwachukwu by the Federation Prosecutor’s Office, Department of Justice.
