FCT, Abuja – Late gospel singer Osinachi Nwachukwu’s family has refused to set up a GoFundMe account to help her children survive. p>
The 42-year-old mother of four died after spending days in an undisclosed hospital in the Federal Capital Territory of Abuja.
However some people opened a GoFundMe account without family consent, which they said was for the sole purpose of making a donation n for Osinachi’s children.
But in a statement on behalf of the family of A.A. Paul, an attorney, the family expressed their disapproval of the GoFundMe account.
“We ask the general public to respect our privacy. We appreciate the public for their concern and love.
“All of their children are being taken care of and we have not raised 32M from anyone, nor are we stranded or begging the public in any way when it comes to a specific GoFundMe account making the rounds . Everyone please be careful not to be scammed.
“The funeral arrangements are underway and we will inform the public once we have made all the arrangements.
“Please keep us in your prayers for we have seen how far the devil can go but in Jesus name we are victorious and the Bible says the steps of the righteous grow brighter and brighter up to perfection shine day is our pledge.”
The gospel musician shot into the limelight with the hit gospel song “Ekwueme,” which she made with Prospa Ochimana.
The Court Places Osinachi’s Husband in Pre-trial Detention, Orders Expedited Hearing
Judge Ngozi Nwosu-Iheme, in a ruling on Friday 3 June, ordered that Nwachukwu remains in detention pending the conclusion of his trial.
The judge issued the verdict after Nwachukwu declined the indictment on 23 counts, which included domestic violence and manslaughter The general federal public prosecutor’s office (AGF).
Osinachi: Police present the result of the autopsy on the corpse of the deceased gospel singer
Previously, the result of the autopsy on the corpse of deceased gospel singer is published by the FCT police command.
Abuja National Hospital, which performed the autopsy, sent its results to the police.
The police authorities in turn forwarded the document to the AGF prosecutor’s office for legal advice.
