The Oyo state government has said it has nothing against the Muslims who opposed the ongoing data collection of newly hired teachers on Eid el-Kabir day.
This Day reported that Post-Primary Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) State Chairman Akinade Alamu said as much in Ibadan on Tuesday, July 12, when he journalists spoke to him.
Alamu claimed that the exercise is an ongoing process and is not intended to punish anyone.

The chairman noted that the Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) criticized the decision on the grounds that Monday and Tuesday are for Eid-el -Kabir holiday, it was assumed that the date had been set well before the holiday was announced.
Oyo state government talks about importance of ongoing TESCOM exercise
According to him, the exercise aims to increase the transparency and accountability in the recruitment process that the state government has started so far.
“It is important to note that the ongoing screening exercise of our Muslim brothers and sisters shall not deny the benefit of that of the bun government declared to enjoy sallah break,” Alamu said.
