    Gezawa, Kano State – On Wednesday January 12, armed men suspected of being bandits were kidnapped by Hajia Zainab, the mother of Minority Leader Isyaku Ali at the Kano State House of Assembly in Gezawa City.

    Premium Times reported that the old woman lives with family members and domestic staff .

    Saminu Ali, a son of the legislature, is said to have said the armed men stormed the house around 1 a.m. on Wednesday.

    He said the armed men are carrying sophisti weapons, forcing some of the family members to bring them into the house on their maternal side.

    The legislature reacted

    As Ali. Talking about the development, who was once House of Representatives spokesman, said the armed men forcibly broke into the door to her room and abducted her after she refused to open it for them.

    He added that immediately after the attacker left the house, one of the old woman’s caregivers sounded the alarm and the police were alerted immediately, also reported Daily Trust .

    The member who. represents The constituency of Gezawa in the Kano House of Assembly is said to have said:

    “Even before I went to Gezawa, the police officers of the division had called me and told me that he had dispatched his officers to the crime scene. He said they had already started investigations into the matter.

    “So far there has been no contact from you. We only pray to the Almighty to save her life. ”

    In another related report, a farmer identified as Saidu Faskari in Katsina state removed the roofing of his house to sell to collect ransom for the release of his bandit-kidnapped eldest son .

    A local journalist named Ibrahim Bawa had posted a video clip and pictures of the man while his roof panel was being removed.

    Bawa told the Premium Times that an elderly man was unable to come up with the ransom. Faskari himself was kidnapped in December 2021 and spent 13 days with the bandits.
