Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) General Overseer Rev. Enoch Adeboye has said he knows a name that can turn around the challenges Nigeria and its people are facing.

Confirmed in a post on his personal Facebook page on Tuesday 7 June the popular cleric that he knows a name that can forever change the current state of Nigeria.

Adeboye’s contribution was included in a created a photo of himself with the caption “Jesus”.

His words:

“I know a name that represents the current state of Nigeria for can always change.”

Pastor Adeboye wrote the post hours after reacting to the killing of Christian worshipers at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo state, on Sunday , June 5.

In response to the incident at Owo Church, in which about 40 people were killed by gunmen who were still armed, Adeboye expressed his sadness at the attack.

He said:

“My heart goes out to all who have suffered from this cruel attack. I cannot understand the evil that motivates one man to willfully take the life of another.

“Every soul counts before God, and I know that He is very displeased with this wickedness. I pray that God will send such greetings again. And may Nigeria never see such bloodshed again.”
