Photos Emerge As Tambuwal Meets Sokoto Muslim Leaders Over Deborah Samuel’s Murder –

Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto has reached out to Muslim leaders in the state over the assassination of Deborah Samuel, a student at Shehu Shagari College of Education.

The meeting was convened to discuss how to ensure that the murder of the student does not lead to violent reprisals.

Governor Tambuwal, who is also a leading PDP presidential hopeful, was billed , to today the states of Bayelsa, Delta and Eco continued its President but had to cancel visits to consult with citizens and religious leaders to ensure the safety of life and property of all residents of Sokoto State

The student became attacked by a mob for making considered statements insulting the Prophet Muhammad.

Following the incident, there were a number of condemnations from Muslim leaders and groups, most notably Muhammadu Abubakar, the Sultan of Sokoto .

Sokoto Police Command had previously announced the arrest of two suspects for their alleged involvement in the student’s murder.

Samuel, a sophomore at the college, was killed Thursday after being accused of n was accused of blaspheming Muhammad ( SAW), the Prophet of Islam.
