Imo – Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State visited the family of the late Alhaji Ahmed Gulak, a chief of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who was shot by unknown perpetrators on Wednesday June 8th.
< p class = "align-left"> In a statement from the government of the state of Imo to Legit.ng, Uzodimma praised the president’s advisor for being on the side of the truth at all times Unity and unity stand.
The governor, who was accompanied by some friends and colleagues, urged the family to be strong and united as always.
Dr. Mustapha Gulak, the first son of the late politician and head of the family, thanked Uzodimma for his presence to comfort the family during this difficult time.
Uzodimma informs about Gulak’s murder
Earlier, Uzodimma said the Imo state government and police are determined to ensure that Gulak’s murder investigation is not jeopardized.
He said on Wednesday June 2nd that everything will be done to bring everyone behind Gulak’s murder to justice.
The Imo governor said this in a statement of his own Media advisor Oguike Nwachukwu in response to former Aviation Minister Femi-Fani Kayode’s comments on the tragic incident.
IPOB not responsible for Gulak’s murder
Meanwhile said the governor, the assassination of Gulak, a former adviser to the Pr President, I have a political undertone.
In a speech at a press conference in Owerri, capital of the state, on Monday May 31, Governor Uzodimma denied the police command’s allegation of the state of Imo back that the gulak was owned by members of the Forbidden Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB).
