President Muhammadu Buhari has urged the Nigerian Armed Forces to do their best in securing Nigeria, particularly the north most affected by terrorism.< /p>< p class="align-left">In his speech on Sunday, May 8, in Abuja, the President drew the attention of the nation’s military to the Northwest, with particular reference to Zamfara, Punch reports.
< p class="align-left">He decreed that the subregion should never revert to the deplorable state it once was in.
The President, in a statement published by Garba Shehu, a media adviser to the President, welcomed troops whose tireless efforts have restored peace and tranquility to the state must be maintained even beyond Zamfara.
The Sun’s statement reads in part:
“We must not allow days to return Hear where the bandits were free to do what they wanted. Rural people in Zamfara and elsewhere must be allowed to have peace.
“…the momentum that has developed must be sustained to bring the activities of these killers to a conclusion.”
