Sani explained why the attackers committed such a bloody act in a post shared on his official Facebook page.
“The attack on the Catholic Church in Ondo has been strongly condemned and denounced by all Nigerians.
“Terrorists represent no Hausa or Fulani people. Terrorists do not spare Muslims either. The North is also a daily victim of their cruelty and destruction. No Hausa or Fulani living in any part of the South should be attacked or harassed for the evil doings of these terrorists, just as no Southerner living in the North should be harassed for the actions of terrorists in the South.
“Terrorists intend to incite vendetta, violence and national unrest; they must not succeed.”
The violence began when Worshipers were about to leave the church.
The attack caused massive shock across the country, as one is rarely recorded in south-west Nigeria.
