Abuja – Candidates who missed the West Africa Senior School Certificate Examinations (WASSCE) 2021 in southeastern Nigeria will have another opportunity taking the exam.

Sonny Echono, the permanent secretary of the Ministry of Education, announced this while overseeing some exam centers in Abuja on Monday, September 20, reports The Nation.

According to him, the ministry will put in place modalities to ensure that the candidates who missed the exam have a different one he shot at the paper they missed .

In another report from The Cable, Echono, who frowned at the disruption to exam centers, expressed satisfaction with the way the exam was conducted across the country.

According to Echono, the current exam in 2021 was tested by over 1.57 million candidates in over 19,000 exams Centers posted.

Heavy shooting as suspected IPOB fighters chase students out of WAEC exam hall

Remember that students from Comprehensive Secondary School were prevented from taking their exams in Nkume, Njaba Local Government, Imo State. On September 13th, the school and began sporadically shooting in the air.

In the meantime, the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced when the results of the ongoing WASSCE 2021 will be available.

The Public Affairs Director of the Examination Board, Demianus Ojijeogu, said the results will be published 45 days after the final paper is written.

Ojijeogu allegedly added, that the certificates will be available 90 days after the last thesis has been created.
